  This is a nice hotel and the breakfast is pretty good, with lots of little extras like chocolate chips for the waffle bar. I had to stay here due to a snow storm making it impossible to get to Tahoe. Under the circumstances, it would have been nice to be offered a discount. Instead, the front desk staff tried to get me to pay $70 more to get a room away from the highway, which I declined of course. Other than that, I had a good stay.

  This location is very convenient for the El Dorado Wine Association Passport Weekend. We have stayed there the last few years. This year we noticed the staff has changed and they are more friendly and engaging. The only negative for this location is that it is right on the corner of a main road and Hwy 50 so there is a little traffic noise but the rest of the attributes make up for that!
