  Well for starters, Kathleen, the owner is so incredibly helpful! My parents and brother recommend we stay here based on their experience with her alone. The house is mind blowing in how beautiful the architecture and decorating were done. Each room has a little bit of a theme. We stayed in The Monte Vista Suite which is the entire upstairs of the house. The room is cosy, the furniture is exceptional, and the bed is comfortable. There is an extra bedroom and a legit secret room in this one suite. No bed and breakfast is complete without a superb home cooked morning meal, and Kathleen's French toast changed my life. The pool and hot tub are naturally shaped to feel like a beach, complete with sand (seriously, check out pictures on their website). The place is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains and only takes about an hour to get there from Sacramento. Stunningly beautiful views over a valley with the American River running through it. 10/10 will return.

  I surprised my wife to this lovely retreat on her birthday last weekend and I can tell you that Bella Vista and it's friendly and helpful owners exceeded my expectations and made our stay a truly beautiful and memorable experience. Even the short drive from Hwy 50 through California's most magnificent and historic gold rush was heavenly. I highly recommend Bella Vista to anyone reading this. Get away from the routine, go to Bella Vista you'll be pampered.
